Letting Go, Slowly

Sometimes, what we truly want to offer the world doesn’t want.

And what the world wants, we truly don’t want to offer.

Have you found that as you’ve gotten older you care less and less for many of the things you once thought were important and you’re drawn less and less to their shiny, sparkly lights?

Far from becoming a grumpy old person who’s out of touch with the modern world you’re probably just exhibiting a maturity and shift in how you see yourself and the world you’re part of.

It’s not a mid-life crisis.

It’s just a shift as a normal part of yet another transition phase in your life to date.

There can be a huge disconnect occurring that can feel pretty disconcerting.

It’s one thing to not want the values, philosophy or accoutrements of the past much anymore but it’s quite another to know what on earth to focus on from now on.

It’s often in between the two that a chasm opens up and people can be in danger of tumbling in.

So, how do you build a bridge instead?

How can you transition successfully to the next phase?

Don't worry about the gap or how it feels.

You're okay.

Just gently let go of the old

and slowly try out some of the new.
